Valorant is quite a popular game in the gaming market.

It has a large number of players which keeps on increasing!

When a player plays the game, numerous questions come to the player's mind.

One of the most common questions that comes to the players' minds is regarding the internet data usage of Valorant.

They can't help but wonder, how much internet data does Valorant use?

On average, Valorant uses somewhere around 200 to 400 MB of internet data per hour which is higher than the average data usage of an online game.

Although the data usage of the game might fluctuate depending on a variety of factors, it generally stays under 500 MB.

However, at times, Valorant uses more than 500 MB of internet data in one hour.

In this article, I've answered this question in more detail.

I've also answered another related question that is quite common among the Valorant players.

So, without any further ado, let's get into it!

Internet Data Usage of Valorant

To find the actual internet data usage of the game, I did some research.

I asked all of my friends who played the game, to keep an eye on its data usage.

Meanwhile, I also did the same.

Every one of us played Valorant for an hour at a stretch and recorded its data usage.

I found out that the data usage of the game on the different devices was in the range of 150 to 400 MB per hour.

But, in most of the devices, the internet data used by the game in one hour was around 280 MB.

So, we can conclude that the internet data usage of Valorant is around 280 MB per hour.

From here, we can also calculate the data used by it in one week, month, or even more!

If you play Valorant for one hour every day for one week, the internet data consumed by the game would be around 1.91 GB in one week.

Similarly, if the game is played for one hour every day for one month, the internet data usage of Valorant in one month would be around 8.2 GB.

Now, what is the data usage per match in Valorant?

Each match in Valorant consumes around 50 to 180 MB of internet data.

At times, the game consumes more than 200 MB per match.

And, if one uses the voice chat, the data used by the game per match might be more than 180 MB.

You might now want to know about the data used by Valorant according to the duration for which you have played the game.

To help you with that, I've prepared a table.

I've also done all the required math so that you don't need to do so!

Following is the required table:

Playtime per day Data usage per day Data usage per week Data usage per month
1 hour 280 MB 1.91 GB 8.2 GB
2 hours 560 MB 3.82 GB 16.4 GB
3 hours 840 MB 5.74 GB 24.6 GB
4 hours 1.09 GB 7.65 GB 32.81 GB
5 hours 1.36 GB 9.57 GB 41.01 GB
6 hours 1.64 GB 11.48 GB 49.21 GB
7 hours 1.91 GB 13.39 GB 57.42 GB

Note: In the above table, the internet data usage per hour of Valorant has been taken as 280 MB.

Does Valorant use a lot of Internet data?

Compared to most of the other online games available in the market, Valorant relatively uses a slightly higher amount of internet data (around 280 MB per hour).

Conclusion

I've also answered a related question that is quite common among the Valorant players.
