Town Hall 17 (also known as, TH17) is a very important stage in Clash of Clans!
You have a wide range of upgrades and new buildings (like the Firespitter and the Crafting Station) to setup at the same time!
Quite naturally, it gets very overwhelming for TH17 players.
They often get confused regarding which troop or building or hero to upgrade next!
To solve that problem, I've written this article!
In this article, I've explained the ideal Town Hall 17 upgrade priority order in detail!
If you follow this guide, you will max out your Town Hall 17 super fast and without much hassle!
So, without any further ado, let's get started!
TH17 Upgrade Priority Order
So, as soon as you reach Town Hall 17, here's the upgrade priority order which you should ideally follow to max out your base super fast:
First things first, upgrade your Laboratory, followed by the Hero Hall!
Once the Laboratory is upgraded, start upgrading the troops/spells that you frequently use in your attack strategies!
For instance, if you use dragons the most, then upgrade them first, once the laboratory is upgraded.
Then, upgrade your Clan Castle, which will unlock +5 troop capacity! (making it 55 from 50).
Next, upgrade your Pet House to the max level.
Then, upgrade all your Army Camps!
On the side, keep upgrading your heroes one by one, in the Hero Hall!
That way, you can still participate in Clan Wars using alternate heroes (like the Minion Prince instead of the Barbarian King, which is in the upgrade).
If you ask me, I'd first upgrade the Archer Queen, followed by Grand Warden. Then, Minion Prince, Royal Champion, and Barbarian King!
But, I'd advise you to upgrade the heroes as per your requirements and the attack strategies which you would be using!
Now, its the time to setup and upgrade the defenses!
Firstly, setup the new archer tower, firespitter, crafting station and the giga bomb.
Then, setup the Multi-gear tower, multi archer tower and ricochet cannon!
Then, setup the Multi-gear tower, multi archer tower and ricochet cannon!
Now, time to upgrade!
Firstly, upgrade the Monolith, Inferno Artillery, followed by the Scattershots.
They are the most heavy hitters.
Then, upgrade the Inferno Tower, X-Bows, Air Defense, Builder's Hut, Wizard Tower, Hidden Tesla, Mortar, and Bomb Tower, in order.
Then, upgrade whichever defense remains!
Next, upgrade the resource storages, Elixir storages, Gold storages, and Dark Elixir storages, in the end!
Resource collectors like the Gold Mine, Elixir Collector, and Dark Elixir Collector do not have any upgrade in TH17, so that saves up some good time!
There are also no upgrades available for Barracks, Dark Barracks, Blacksmith, Workshop, Spell Factory, and Dark Elixir Spell Factory.

Then, focus on upgrading the traps in your base.
Whenever you feel like you have excess loot, upgrade the walls in your base!
When you are upgrading your offense (mainly via elixir and dark elixir), you can upgrade your walls using the excess gold you have.
When you are upgrading your defense (mainly via gold), you can upgrade your walls using the excess elixir you have.
When you are upgrading your defense (mainly via gold), you can upgrade your walls using the excess elixir you have.
