Town Hall 16 is a very important stage in Clash of Clans.
In TH16, players often struggle to find attack strategies that can 3-star almost any other TH16 base.
To solve that problem, I've written this article!
In this article, I'm going to provide you with the top 3 most powerful Town Hall 16 attack strategies in Clash of Clans.
I've explained every one of the attack strategies in detail.
So, without any further ado, let's get started!
1. The OG Electro Dragon Strategy
To use it, you require the following army:
- 9 Electro Dragons
- 8 Balloons
- 1 Baby Dragon
- 5 Freeze Spells
- 3 Rage Spells
- Battle Blimp (6 Balloons, 1 Dragon in CC)
- 1 Rage Spell
- 1 Poison Spell
- Barbarian King (Spiky Ball & Earthquake Boots)
- Archer Queen (Giant Arrow & Healer Puppet)
- Grand Warden (Eternal Tome & Healing Tome)
- Royal Champion (Hog Rider Puppet & Electro Boots)
Firstly, deploy the Archer Queen and use its Giant Arrow to take down at least one of the two Air Sweepers.
Then, deploy the Barbarian King around it to get some value and for funnel.
Deploy few balloons to take in the seeking air mine traps.
Then, deploy all your Electro Dragons, followed by Grand Warden.
Make sure that they enter into the base.
Then, in few seconds, deploy the Battle Blimp.
Use the Warden's ability on time, so that the Blimp can make it to the center of the base.
And now, let everything enter into the base, and just use the Rage and Freeze spells as required.
Once the Electro Dragons have reached near the center of the base, deploy the Royal Champion near the back-side of the base.
The RC will take down the remaining defenses in the meanwhile.
Use the RC's ability for spawning the Hog Riders (via the Hog Rider Puppet equipment) which will act as the tank.
And, if necessary, you can drop a rage spell too, to accelerate the destruction.
And, with that, the Town Hall 16 base will get cleared in no time!
2. The Meta Dragon Strategy
To use it, you require the following army:- 16 Dragons
- 3 Clone Spells
- 1 Freeze Spell
- 1 Skeleton Spell
- Battle Blimp (1 Valkyrie, 2 Yetis in CC)
- 1 Rage spell, 1 Poison spell in CC
- Barbarian King (Spiky Ball & Earthquake Boots)
- Archer Queen (Giant Arrow & Healer Puppet)
- Grand Warden (Eternal Tome & Healing Tome)
- Royal Champion (Hog Rider Puppet & Electro Boots)
Deploy the Archer Queen, and use its Giant Arrow to take down at least one of the two Air Sweepers. (This strategy still works even if the air sweepers are not taken down)
Now, from one side of the base, Deploy the Dragons, and then, the Grand Warden.
In few seconds, deploy the Battle Blimp.
Also, deploy the Barbarian King near the Queen.
Our Target is simple: we will send the Battle Blimp to the high-value compartment (mainly where Town Hall and key defenses are there), break it, drop clone and rage spells, and watch our troops wipe out value!
Use the Grand Warden's ability which will help the Battle Blimp take less damage and go further inside.
Once the Blimp breaks, drop the clone spells, and rage spells.
Use the Freeze spell, and Skeleton spell as required.
The skeleton spell is mainly taken to distract the enemy defenses.
Once majority of the key defenses are taken out by the cloned troops, deploy the Royal Champion near the backside of the base.
Let it clean the remaining defenses, and often the Dragons would act as a tank protecting your RC.
But, you can use the RC's ability too, so that the Hog Riders can act as the tank, while your RC takes down remaining defenses one by one.
And, boom!
Just like that, you will 3-star the Town Hall 16 base in almost no time!
- 16 Dragons
- 3 Clone Spells
- 1 Freeze Spell
- 1 Skeleton Spell
- Battle Blimp (1 Valkyrie, 2 Yetis in CC)
- 1 Rage spell, 1 Poison spell in CC
- Barbarian King (Spiky Ball & Earthquake Boots)
- Archer Queen (Giant Arrow & Healer Puppet)
- Grand Warden (Eternal Tome & Healing Tome)
- Royal Champion (Hog Rider Puppet & Electro Boots)
3. The Root Rider Strategy
To use it, you need the following army:
- 6 Root Riders
- 5 Healers
- 8 Super Barbarians
- 6 Valkyries
- 2 Balloon
- 1 Apprentice Warden
- 2 Headhunters
- 1 Rage Spell
- 5 Invisibility Spells
- 1 Recall Spell
- 1 Freeze Spell
- 1 Poison
- Siege Barracks (6 Valkyries in CC)
- 1 Rage Spell, 1 Skeleton Spell in CC
- Barbarian King (Spiky Ball & Earthquake Boots)
- Archer Queen (Magic Mirror & Healer Puppet)
- Grand Warden (Eternal Tome & Healing Tome)
- Royal Champion (Haste Vial & Electro Boots)
Firstly, we have to start with Royal Champion charge.
For the RC charge, deploy the RC in such a way that it will be able to take down most of the heavy hitters like the Eagle Artillery, Inferno Tower, etc.
Use the invisibility spells properly to direct your RC, and use the RC ability accordingly.
The haste vial will make it move quickly, so you have to control it properly.
Once you drop the last invisibility spell, and RC does its damage, drop your Recall spell.
Remaining buildings on that side can be cleared up with the Super Barbarians.
On the other side of the base, deploy the Siege Barracks, and Barbarian King.
They will develop the funnel.
Use headhunters to take down nearby opponent's heroes (if any).
Once the funnel is made, deploy all your Root Riders, Grand Warden, Archer Queen, Healers, Valkyries, Apprentice Warden, and Recalled Royal Champion!
Now, as they enter the core of the base, use remaining spells wisely, and you will be able to clear it up.
Once they enter the core, you can use the Skeleton spell so that they take up the damage, while your troops can focus on wiping out the entire base!
And, in no time, you will be able to 3-star the entire Town Hall 16 base!
Also, use the remaining heroes' abilities on time, as required.
