How much Internet Data does Call of Duty: Mobile use? [2026]

Call of Duty: Mobile brought the full COD experience to phones, and it's been a massive hit since launch.

With Battle Royale, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes all packed in, players spend a lot of time in this one.

And since it's a mobile-first game, a lot of that time happens on cellular data rather than Wi-Fi.

So, how much internet data does Call of Duty: Mobile use?

On average, Call of Duty: Mobile uses around 20 to 50 MB of internet data per hour, which is quite reasonable for a mobile shooter with this much going on.

A directly measured hour of play landed right around 40 MB, which lines up well with the wider range other sources report.

In this article, I've broken this down in more detail.

I've also compared it to its bigger console sibling, Warzone, since the difference might surprise you!

So, without any further ado, let us dive right into it!

Internet Data Usage of Call of Duty: Mobile

I cross-checked several independent sources for this one, including a directly measured, minute-by-minute bandwidth log of an actual hour-long session.

That measured session came out to just over 39 MB for the hour, with the vast majority of that happening while the app was actively open and running.

Broader reports, factoring in different game modes and graphics settings, put the range at roughly 20 MB to 50 MB per hour, which the measured test falls comfortably inside.

Combining the measured data with the broader reports, the figure that best represents typical play is around 40 MB of internet data per hour.

So, we can conclude that the internet data usage of Call of Duty: Mobile is around 40 MB per hour under normal playing conditions.

From this, it's pretty straightforward to figure out the weekly and monthly data consumption as well!

If you play Call of Duty: Mobile for one hour every day for a week, the total internet data used would be around 280 MB per week.

And if you play for one hour every day throughout an entire month, the total data consumed would come out to around 1.17 GB per month.

Now, you might also want to know how much data Call of Duty: Mobile uses based on how long you play each day.

I've put together a handy table below to help you with exactly that!

Here's the table:

Playtime per day Data usage per day Data usage per week Data usage per month
1 hour 40 MB 280 MB 1.17 GB
2 hours 80 MB 560 MB 2.34 GB
3 hours 120 MB 840 MB 3.52 GB
4 hours 160 MB 1.09 GB 4.69 GB
5 hours 200 MB 1.37 GB 5.86 GB
6 hours 240 MB 1.64 GB 7.03 GB
7 hours 280 MB 1.91 GB 8.20 GB

Note: The data usage of Call of Duty: Mobile has been taken as 40 MB per hour in the above table.

Does Call of Duty: Mobile use a LOT of Internet data?

Compared to most online shooters, Call of Duty: Mobile is genuinely light on data, using around 40 MB per hour on average.

That's actually a pretty interesting contrast to its console and PC sibling, Warzone, which uses roughly 170 MB per hour, over four times as much.

That gap comes down to smaller lobby sizes on mobile, more compressed assets designed for phone hardware, and a game engine that was built from the ground up with mobile networks in mind rather than adapted from a PC or console title.

As with most online games, team chat and voice communication will push usage a bit higher, so squad players chatting the whole match should expect numbers on the upper end of the range.

So overall, Call of Duty: Mobile is a genuinely safe pick if you're gaming on a limited mobile data plan.

Conclusion

In this article, I've answered one of the most commonly asked questions among Call of Duty: Mobile players: how much internet data the game actually uses.

I've also compared it to Warzone, since the gap between the two might surprise players who assumed all COD titles used similar amounts of data.

I'll keep updating the data in this article as things change over time.

Note: The data in this article is up-to-date, as of 23rd July 2026.
