In this article, I've listed the EXACT upgrade cost, and upgrade time of Balloon in Clash of Clans.
I did all the required math so that you don't have to!

The data in the above table can also be interpreted as:
- To upgrade a Balloon from level 1 to level 2, you'll need 100,000 elixir. The upgrade takes 4 hours to complete.
- Upgrading a level 2 Balloon to level 3 requires 400,000 elixir, and the upgrade will be completed in 6 hours.
- To upgrade a level 3 Balloon to level 4, you'll require 720,000 elixir. The upgrade takes 18 hours.
- Upgrading a level 4 Balloon to level 5 needs 1,300,000 elixir. The upgrade will take 1 day.
- To upgrade a level 5 Balloon to level 6, you'll need 2,750,000 elixir. The upgrade takes 3 days.
- Upgrading a level 6 Balloon to level 7 requires 4,400,000 elixir, and the upgrade will be completed in 3 days 12 hours.
- To upgrade a level 7 Balloon to level 8, you'll require 5,000,000 elixir. The upgrade takes 4 days.
- Upgrading a level 8 Balloon to level 9 needs 7,000,000 elixir. The upgrade will take 5 days.
- To upgrade a level 9 Balloon to level 10, you'll need 10,000,000 elixir. The upgrade takes 7 days 12 hours.
- Upgrading a level 10 Balloon to level 11 requires 14,000,000 elixir, and the upgrade will be completed in 8 days 12 hours.
- Finally, upgrading a level 11 Balloon to level 12 needs 22,500,000 elixir. The upgrade will take 15 days 12 hours.
