When a player starts to play the game, one common question that comes into the player's mind is about the data usage of the game.
So, how much internet data does BGMI actually use?
The average internet data usage of BGMI is about 40-60 MB per hour, which is less than most of the other Battle Royale Games in the market.
The data usage of BGMI per hour might vary depending on which game mode one is playing and for how much time one uses the voice chat. But, it generally stays under 80 MB per hour.

How much internet data does BGMI use?
I did some research to check the data usage of BGMI myself.
Firstly, I installed the game on different devices.
Then, I played BGMI on all the devices for one hour at a stretch.
After doing so, I found out that the data usage per hour of BGMI ranged between 40 to 60 megabytes in the different devices.
But, it was around 47 megabytes in the majority of the devices.
Thereby, we can conclude that if one plays the game for 1 hour, the internet data used would be around 47 MB.
If one plays the game for one hour every day in a week, the total data used would be about 329 MB in one week.
Similarly, if one plays BGMI for one hour every day in a month, the total data consumed by the game would be about 1.37 GB in one month.
But, it is to be noted here that if one plays the game keeping the voice chat on, the data usage would be more.
The data usage might be around 80 MB per hour in such a case.

Do you need a high-speed internet connection for playing BGMI?
One does not require a very high-speed internet connection for playing BGMI.
An internet speed of about 4-5 MB per second can deliver a decent gaming experience in BGMI.
Is Internet speed linked with lag in BGMI?
In most cases of lag in BGMI, it is generally the internet speed (and, the ping) that causes it.
Hence, the internet speed is associated with lag in the game.
However, there might be some cases where the internet speed of the user is not the real cause of the lag.
