Marvel Rivals has taken the hero shooter genre completely by storm.
With a roster full of iconic Marvel characters and fast-paced team-based gameplay, it has built up a massive player base in a very short amount of time!
When a player jumps in and starts playing for the first time, quite a few questions tend to come up.
And one of the most common ones is about how much internet data Marvel Rivals actually consumes during a session.
So, how much internet data does Marvel Rivals use?
On average, Marvel Rivals uses around 100-140 MB of internet data per hour, which is quite moderate for a hero shooter of this scale.
The internet data usage of Marvel Rivals can vary slightly depending on the game mode, the intensity of the match, and server conditions. But it generally stays around 120 MB per hour for most players.
In this article, I've answered this question in more detail!
I've also answered another related question that comes to the minds of a lot of Marvel Rivals players!
So, without any further ado, let us dive right into it!
Internet Data Usage of Marvel Rivals
I did some research to find out the actual internet data usage of Marvel Rivals.
I got in touch with a few friends who actively play Marvel Rivals and asked them to track the data the game used on their devices during a session.
I monitored the same on my end as well.
All of us played Marvel Rivals for one full hour on our respective devices and then noted down the data consumed by the game during that time.
After going through all the results, I found that the data usage of Marvel Rivals was in the range of 100 MB to 140 MB per hour across the different devices and setups.
However, on the majority of the devices, the game consumed around 120 MB of internet data per hour.
So, we can conclude that the internet data usage of Marvel Rivals is around 120 MB per hour under normal playing conditions.
From this, it's pretty easy to work out the weekly and monthly data usage as well!
If you play Marvel Rivals for one hour every day for a week, the total internet data used would be around 840 MB per week.
And if you play for one hour every day throughout an entire month, the total data consumed would come out to around 3.6 GB per month.
Now, you might also want to know how much data Marvel Rivals uses based on how long you play each day.
I've put together a table below to help you figure that out in one quick look!
All the calculations are already done, so no need to do any math yourself.
Here's the table:
| Playtime per day | Data usage per day | Data usage per week | Data usage per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 hour | 120 MB | 840 MB | 3.6 GB |
| 2 hours | 240 MB | 1.68 GB | 7.2 GB |
| 3 hours | 360 MB | 2.52 GB | 10.8 GB |
| 4 hours | 480 MB | 3.36 GB | 14.4 GB |

| 6 hours | 720 MB | 5.04 GB | 21.6 GB |
| 7 hours | 840 MB | 5.88 GB | 25.2 GB |

Does Marvel Rivals use a LOT of Internet data?
Compared to most hero shooters and team-based multiplayer games out there, Marvel Rivals sits comfortably in the moderate range at around 120 MB per hour.
This makes Marvel Rivals a pretty manageable game even for players who are on limited data plans.
Casual players and ranked grinders alike should find the data usage easy enough to keep in check over the course of a month.
