In fact, you can just sort out some attack strategies which worked well for you in the past and start modifying them so that it works even better than it did earlier!

The Witch Slap Strategy
The Witch Slap strategy is super simple yet rewarding!
To use this technique, you need the following troops:
- 1 archer
- 1 goblin
- 5 wizards
- 4 healers
- 2 minions
- 1 golem
- 9 witches.
- 5 bowlers in the Clan Castle.
- 1 heal spell
- 1 rage spell
- 2 jump spells
- 1 poison spell
- 1 poison spell in the Clan Castle.
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
This strategy works the best in bases where the air defenses are either kept in the inner part of the base or near the center of the base.
The reason behind this is that air defenses deal a lot of damage against healers and we need to prevent our healers from dying.
To use this attack, firstly you need to deploy 4 witches at two consecutive corners of the base and 2 healers each beyond the witches.
Once the witches start clearing the sides of the base, deploy the golem in the middle so that it makes a funnel into the center of the base.
As the defenses start attacking the golem, deploy the wizards and the bowlers (which were brought in the Clan Castle) behind the golem.
As the bowlers and wizards successfully destroy some of the defenses, deploy the barbarian king and the archer queen behind them.
Also, put one jump spell inside the base so that the golem, wizards, bowlers, and heroes can go towards the center of the base.
After you destroy half of the base, put another jump spell so that the troops inside the base can go further deep and destroy the defenses/storages.
Use the abilities of the heroes when the heroes are in danger or when the wizard/bowler force needs a powerful backup.
Also, if there are any troops in the clan castle, you can easily sweep them using the wizards/bowlers and the heroes' abilities.
Remember to use the poison spells on the opponent's Clan Castle troops.
The witches' skeleton army can also be used as a bait for the Clan castle troops of the opponent base.
Whenever the health of the bowlers' decrease, use the heal spell immediately followed by the rage spell to increase their power and movement speed.
Finally, use the archers, minions, and goblin to clear the rest of the base.
You can also use these to clear the builder bases which are mostly placed at the corners of the base.
If the heal spell is not required, you can keep it for the last. It is better to take no risk while attacking.
This was it! Simple yet powerful!
However, there's only one drawback to this attack.
A single mistake in this attack can totally ruin its power.
As a result, once you get enough experience in using the Witch Slap strategy, you can easily 3-star any base for which this strategy works i.e bases with the air defenses kept near the center of the base.
The HGHB Strategy
Although the name of the strategy sounds a bit weird, the result it brings out is always incredible!
In this technique, you mainly make the most out of Hog Riders, Giants, Healers, and Bowlers which justifies the naming of the strategy.
The troops you need to use for this strategy are :
- 12 Giants
- 3 Wall Breakers
- 5 Wizards
- 3 Healers
- 2 Baby Dragons
- 1 Minion
- 14 Hog Riders
- 5 Bowlers in the Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
- 2 Heal Spells
- 2 Rage Spells
- 1 Poison spell
- 1 Poison spell in the Clan Castle
To use this strategy, firstly, you need to use the baby dragons for creating a funnel by destroying the resources placed on the outskirts of the base.
The baby dragons are being used instead of the ground troops for making the funnel as the ground-based defenses (mostly cannons) cannot damage them.
Also, remember to make the funnel in such a way that the heroes in the opponent base and the Clan Castle troops of the opponent come to attack your troops together.
Once the funnel is created, deploy all the giants at once followed by the wall breakers so that they go through the created funnel.
Also, deploy all the healers behind the giants so that the giants' HP can be conserved.
Now, as the heroes of the opponent come to attack followed by the opponent's clan castle troops, deploy both the poison spells.
At the same time, deploy your wizards, heroes, and bowlers at the back so that they can easily take down the opponent's heroes and Clan Castle troops.
Also, put on a rage spell over the giants so that they can survive through the high damage done by the opponent's troops and defenses.
Use the other rage spell when the giants move forward and the opponent's heroes and Clan Castle troops are killed.
Once the giants proceed deeper into the base and attract the attention of most of the defenses, deploy the hogs so that they can make use of the defenses' distraction and destroy them eventually.
Use the heal spells when the hog riders' health decreases.
Use your heroes' ability according to the situation of the battle.
Gradually, deploy the minion to destroy the builder huts or any other resource storage.
Yeah, that was the HGHB attack strategy. It's really simple and powerful.
Moreover, even if you do not have max leveled heroes, you can still easily 3-star a TH9 max-base using this attack strategy.
This attack does not have any major drawbacks too!
The Ha & HG Attack Strategy
The complete name of this attack strategy is Half air & Half ground.
As the name suggests, the troops used will be half air and half ground.
The troops which are to be used are :
- 2 Archers
- 2 Goblins
- 16 Balloons
- 7 Wizards
- 1 Baby Dragon
- 4 Minions
- 1 Golem
- 2 Lava hounds
- 5 Bowlers in Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
- 2 Rage spells
- 1 Jump spell
- 3 Haste spells
- 1 poison spell in Clan Castle
The main purpose of this strategy is to :
- Destroy one or two air defenses, Archer queen and Clan Castle troops of the opponent using the ground troops.
- Destroy the other defenses using the air troops.
As the one or two air defenses and the Archer queen are destroyed, the air troops would be able to destroy the rest quite easily.
But, clearing the clan castle troops of the opponent is also important as they can be a great threat to the air troops.
To use this strategy, firstly, you need to deploy the baby dragon and one or two wizards to start making a funnel.
Once a few buildings are destroyed, the golem has to be deployed followed by other wizards.
Deploy the Barbarian King, Archer Queen, and bowlers (brought in the Clan Castle) behind the wizards and let them go inside using the jump spell.
Use 1 rage spell when the opponent's defenses, Archer Queen and Clan Castle troops attack your troops.
Once half of the base's defenses and the archer queen are cleared, the rest of the base has to be cleared using the lava-loon technique.
Deploy the lava hounds followed by the balloons.
Use the haste spells and the rage spell when you need to increase the speed of the air troops.
Gradually, the air troops would clear the rest of the base's defenses after which, you need to deploy the other troops like the archer, goblins, and minions.
Ultimately, the rest of the base would be cleared in a while.
To be honest, this attack strategy rarely fails.
This is one of the attack strategies I use in clan wars.
Surprisingly, out of my 19 attacks, I scored three stars in all the 19 attacks using this incredible attack strategy!
This strategy does not have any major drawbacks, but you have to manage to knock out the opponent's archer queen, destroy one or two air defenses, and the Clan Castle troops of the opponent using your ground troops howsoever.
If that's done properly, you can easily establish a 3-star on that base!
The Gohogzard strategy
First things first, this attack strategy can 3-star most of the TH9 bases if used properly. It's simple yet incredible!
So, for the Gohogzard attack strategy, you'll need the following troops:
- 4 Archers
- 7 Wizards
- 2 Golems
- 6 Wall breakers
- 2 Goblins
- 2 Minions
- 22 Hog Riders
- 5 Bowlers in the Clan Castle
- Barbarian King
- Archer Queen
- 1 Rage spell
- 1 Jump spell
- 2 Heal spells
- 1 Poison spell
- 1 Poison spell in the Clan Castle
For this attack to be successful, you first need to knock out the opponent's Archer Queen and the Clan Castle troops.
To do so, you need to make a funnel that goes deep into the base.
At first, deploy 2 golems at any one corner of the base and wait till the nearby defenses' focus is on the golems.
Once established the focus of the defenses on the golems, deploy 4-5 wizards to start destroying the resources which come in the path of the golem.
Gradually, deploy the Barbarian King and the bowlers (brought in the Clan Castle) to accelerate the funneling process.
Gradually, deploy the Archer Queen in such a way that she can enter into the inner part of the base through the funnel created.
Once the opponent's Clan Castle troops come out, deploy a rage spell on the troops which have gone inside followed by two poison spells (one that you brought and the one in your Clan Castle) on the opponent's Clan Castle troops.
Use the heroes' abilities if required while fighting the opponent's clan castle troops.
Once the clan castle troops are down, try knocking out the opponent's Archer Queen with the troops inside the base.
In most of the attacks, the Archer Queen of the opponent gets knocked down easily as the funnel is already created and half of the troops already get into the inner part of the base through the funnel.
Once the opponent's Clan Castle troops, as well as Archer Queen, is down, deploy the hog riders in parts from different angles.
As the hog riders grasp the other defenses of the base, deploy the minions, archers, and goblins to clear the rest of the base gradually.
Once the hog riders join together, use one heal spell on them if their health is low.
Use the other heal spell when required again. It's better to take no risk while attacking and therefore, you can save it for the last too.
Gradually, the whole base gets destroyed and the battle comes to an end.
So, yeah! That was the Gohogzard attack strategy!
The Gohogzard attack strategy does not have any major drawback.
If it is used properly, you can easily 3-star most of the TH9 bases.
The Zap Strategy
The Zap strategy is a very famous attack strategy that can 3-star a TH9 Max base even without the heroes!
For this attack strategy, you need the following troops :
- 4 Balloons
- 10 Dragons
- 1 Electro Dragon in the Clan Castle
- 9 Lightning Spells
- 1 Lightning spell in the Clan Castle
- Barbarian King (optional)
- Archer Queen (optional)
Although the attack can 3-star bases without heroes, it is better to take no risk.
Instead, you can take the heroes for accelerating the power of the attack!
To use this attack, you need to destroy 2 air defenses first and then, damage another air defense with the lightning spells.
You need to make sure that at least two air defenses are destroyed with the spells.
Now, you need to create a funnel with one or two dragons.
Once the dragons destroy a few resources which block the way into the center, deploy the other dragons and the electro dragon (which was brought in the Clan Castle).
If there are any troops in the opponent's clan castle, the dragons and electro dragon can easily sweep them.
As the dragons and electro dragon enter the base, drop the balloons at the back of the dragons.
Gradually, the electro dragon and other dragons would clear the base.
For accelerating the power of the attack, you can deploy the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen on the other side of the base.
You can also use the heroes for destroying the builder huts which are generally situated at the corners of the village.
That was it! The Zap attack strategy is super easy yet rewarding!
You can also use the Zap attack strategy when you have your heroes on an upgrade!
There is no major drawback to this attack strategy.
But, you have to be very careful that your electro dragon does not die very quickly.
It is the main engine of the attack. The more time it survives, the more damage it does!
BONUS: How to use these TH9 attack strategies to skyrocket your trophies and war stars?
The attack strategies mentioned in this article are indeed very powerful and effective.
However, to get the most out of them, you need to practice using these attack strategies.
It does not really take a long time to be a PRO in using these strategies.
In fact, you can easily get habituated to these strategies in a few days! It just requires a little bit of practice.
After you finally become a master in using these attack strategies, no one can stop you from 3-staring every TH9 base out there!
As a result, you can easily skyrocket your trophies as well as your war stars!
