Town Hall 11 or TH11 (in short) is one of the most important stages in Clash of Clans.

In TH11, players get introduced to numerous new troops and spells.

As a result, it is very common for them to get confused about which attack strategy to use on a particular TH11 base, either in war or in a normal attack.

To solve that issue, I've decided to come up with this article.

In this article, I'm going to provide you with the top 5 most powerful Town Hall 11 attack strategies in Clash of Clans.

I've explained every one of the attack strategies in detail.

So, without any further ado, let's dive right into it!

1. The Zap Dragon Attack Strategy

the_zap_dragon_attack_strategy_army

It is a very powerful attack strategy in Town Hall 11.

To use it, you require the following army:

  • 8 Balloons
  • 8 Dragons
  • 1 Lava Hound
  • 1 Electro Dragon
  • 3 Balloons and 1 Dragon in the Clan Castle
  • 4 Lightning Spells
  • 1 Heal Spell
  • 1 Rage Spell
  • 1 Poison Spell
  • 2 Earthquake Spell
  • 1 Rage Spell in the Clan Castle
  • Barbarian King
  • Archer Queen
  • Grand Warden
  • 1 Stone Slammer (as a donation in the Clan Castle)

If you don't get a Stone Slammer as a donation in the CC (Clan Castle), you can still use this attack strategy with 3 Balloons and 1 Dragon in the CC.

But, it's recommended to use the Stone Slammer because it helps you to 3-star most TH11 bases easily.

Now, let's learn how this attack strategy works.

Firstly, you need to destroy any two of the four air defenses.

Use two Lightning spells and an earthquake spell on each of the two air defenses to destroy both of them.

Then, use the heroes (preferably, Barbarian King and Archer Queen) to destroy another air defense.

The last remaining air defense has to be destroyed using the main army.

Once three of the four air defenses are destroyed, deploy one dragon in one of the corners of the base so that it can clean the outskirts of the base and help in developing a funnel.

Near the leftover air defense, deploy a balloon followed by an Electro dragon.

This is done so that if there is any seeking air mine, the balloon can take the damage and thus help the ED (electro dragon) to survive.

Once the dragon and the ED clean some of the outskirts of the base, deploy a Lava hound, followed by around 4 balloons, all the dragons, and the Stone Slammer.

Deploy the Grand Warden behind them.

Once the troops enter the main base, deploy a Rage spell to increase the damage on the opponent's base.

Let the troops destroy the last remaining Air Defense.

When some troops come out of the opponent's Clan Castle, deploy a poison spell on them and let the dragons take them down.

Once the dragons move to the core of the main base, activate Grand Warden's ability.

When the dragons are in trouble or when they are getting attacked by multiple defenses at once, deploy a Heal spell and a Rage spell on them simultaneously.

Let the troops destroy the rest of the base.

When required, break the Stone Slammer to release your CC (Clan Castle) troops.

Once 90% of the defenses are destroyed, deploy the leftover balloons from an appropriate point so that they either help in destroying the rest of the defenses or destroy the other buildings.

Gradually, the entire base will be destroyed.

If you're not using a Stone Slammer, deploy the CC troops while deploying the dragons. In that case, it might be a little bit difficult to 3-star the base.

Therefore, if you use a Stone Slammer, it will be easier to 3-star a TH11 base.

The Zap Dragon attack strategy in Town Hall 11 can 3-star almost every other TH11 bases.

It is very easy to use and rewarding!

2. The Super Archer Army Attack Strategy

the_super_archer_army_attack_strategy_army_composition

The Super Archer army attack strategy makes good use of the power of the super archers (their long range of attack).

For using this strategy, you require the following army:

  • 1 Archer
  • 3 Balloons
  • 5 Healers
  • 3 Minions
  • 12 Super Archers
  • 3 Super Wall Breakers
  • 7 Hog Riders in the Clan Castle
  • 7 Lightning Spells
  • 1 Rage Spell
  • 1 Poison Spell
  • 1 Earthquake Spell
  • 1 Rage Spell in the Clan Castle
  • Barbarian King
  • Archer Queen
  • Grand Warden
  • 1 Siege Barracks as a donation in the Clan Castle

Only two things can prevent this attack strategy from destroying a base with a 3-star:

  •  An undestroyed Eagle Artillery.
  •  Time issues.

Now, let's learn how to use this attack strategy.

At first, you need to destroy the Eagle Artillery with 7 Lightning spells and an Earthquake spell.

Then, from one of the corners of the base, deploy the Archer Queen followed by 5 Healers.

The Super Archers and the Grand Warden have to be deployed in the same direction in which the Archer Queen moves.

This is done so that the healers can take a shift and heal the super archers when needed.

Once the Super archers move forward, deploy the Barbarian King and the Siege Barracks near one of the corners adjacent to the corner from where you had deployed the Archer Queen.

A quick tip: Before deploying the healers behind Archer Queen, deploy one Balloon so that it can help the healers survive by taking damage itself from traps (especially from Seeking air mines).

When the CC (Clan Castle) troops of the opponent come out, deploy a Poison spell on them.

Also, deploy a Rage spell on the Archer Queen and the healers so that they survive and the Queen does more damage while battling the opponent's CC troops.

Once the opponent's CC troops are destroyed, deploy the Grand Warden behind the Archer Queen, followed by two ballons.

Just behind them, deploy all the Super archers at once.

Then, deploy one Super Wall Breaker behind them so that it helps in funneling.

Use the ability of the Barbarian King, Archer Queen, and the Grand Warden when required.

To help the Archer Queen survive, deploy another Rage spell on it.

Make sure that the healers also come under the range of the Rage spell's effect.

If you feel that the Rage spell is not required by the Archer Queen, drop it on other troops when required instead of dropping it on the Queen.

Once a funnel is properly created and some of the defenses are already active, break the Siege Barracks to release the Hog Riders.

Deploy the leftover Super wall breakers when required.

Once 90% of the base is destroyed, deploy the leftover troops (3 Minions and 1 Archer)

Gradually, the entire base will be destroyed.

Keep in mind that you might have certain time issues near the end of the attack.

Thus, you need to be careful and deploy the required troops and spells without any delay.

The Super Archer army strategy is a very simple yet powerful attack strategy in Town Hall 11.

3. The Hybrid Army Attack Strategy

the_hybrid_army_attack_strategy_army_composition_part2

In Town Hall 11, The Hybrid Army attack strategy can be used to dominate almost every other TH11 base.

For this attack strategy, you require the following army:

  • 2 Archers
  • 3 Balloons
  • 2 Wizards
  • 5 Healers
  • 1 Minion
  • 2 Witches
  • 1 Baby Dragon
  • 16 Miners
  • 3 Super Wall Breakers
  • 3 Sneaky Goblins
  • 7 Hog Riders in the Clan Castle
  • 2 Heal spells
  • 2 Rage spells
  • 2 Freeze spells
  • 1 Poison spell
  • 1 Rage spell in the Clan Castle
  • Siege Barracks (as a donation in the Clan Castle)
  • Barbarian King
  • Archer Queen
  • Grand Warden

Now, let's learn how this attack strategy works.

Firstly, you need to make a plan to destroy the Eagle Artillery.

Deploy the Archer Queen from one corner of the base such that the Eagle Artillery is close to it.

Deploy all the healers behind it.

Deploy a Balloon so that it can do some damage to the defenses once the defenses are active on the Archer Queen. It will also take damage from seeking air mines (if any) and help the healers to survive.

Deploy a Super Wall Breaker so that it can break the front walls and help in the creation of a funnel.

Near the Archer Queen, deploy a Baby dragon to help create a funnel.

Once the Queen moves forward, deploy another Super Wall Breaker to break further inner walls.

If the Queen is in trouble, drop a Rage spell on the Queen such that the spell covers the Healers as well.

Deploy another Super Wall breaker for breaking walls if needed.

When the Clan Castle troops of the opponent come out, drop a poison spell on them.

When the Queen fights against the opponent's CC troops, drop a Rage spell on the Queen if needed.

From a corner adjacent to the corner where you had deployed the Archer Queen, deploy the Barbarian King, followed by two witches.

Near the King, deploy the Miners in such a way that they enter the main base and do not get distracted by the buildings in the outskirts of the base.

Deploy the Grand Warden behind the Miners.

Deploy the Siege Barracks near the Grand Warden.

If you don't have a Siege Barracks as a Clan Castle donation, deploy the CC troops (Hog Riders) near the Grand Warden.

If you've deployed the Siege Barracks, break it after 10 seconds to release the Hog Riders.

Drop the Heal Spell on the Hog Riders and the Miners when they are being attacked by the opponent's heroes or inferno towers.

Once the miners get to the core of the base, drop a Rage Spell on them.

Drop another Heal Spell either on the Miners or the Hog Riders when required.

Activate the ability of the heroes when required.

You should activate Grand Warden's ability when the Miners and Hog Riders are being attacked by numerous defenses (particularly Inferno Towers) at once.

When the Miners come near the Inferno Towers or in an area of concentrated defense, deploy a Freeze spell on the defenses so that the Miners can quickly take them down.

If the Hog Riders and the Miners are on the same path, attacking together, the dropping of the spells would be much easier and beneficial as well.

Once 90% of the defenses in the base are destroyed, deploy the leftover troops (Archers, Sneaky Goblins, Wizards, and any other unused troops) to destroy the remaining buildings of the base.

Gradually, the deployed troops will 3-star the base.

That's the Hybrid Army attack strategy. It is a simple yet powerful attack strategy.

You can also use it without a Siege Machine, and can still 3-star most TH11 bases.

4. The Electrone Lalo Attack Strategy

the_electrone_lalo_attack_strategy_army_composition_part1

the_electrone_lalo_attack_strategy_army_composition_part2

This attack strategy is suitable for bases that are very compact in nature, that is, the buildings and defenses are located close to each other.

To use it, you require the following army:

  • 4 Archers
  • 23 Balloons
  • 1 Wizard
  • 10 Minions
  • 3 Lava Hounds
  • 1 Baby Dragon
  • 1 Super Wall Breaker
  • 3 Sneaky Goblins
  • 1 Balloon and 1 Electro Dragon in the Clan Castle
  • 2 Freeze spell
  • 1 Poison spell
  • 2 Haste spell
  • 2 Clone spells
  • 1 Rage spell in the Clan Castle
  • Battle Blimp as a donation in the Clan Castle
  • Barbarian King
  • Archer Queen
  • Grand Warden

Now, let's learn how this attack strategy works.

Firstly, you need to take the Battle Blimp to the center of the base and break it.

Then, you need to drop the Clone spells on the released troops from the Battle Blimp.

Once the troops are cloned, deploy a Rage spell on them so that they can easily clear the center of the main base.

Then, with your other troops, you'll have to clear the rest of the base.

That's the main principle of the Electrone Lalo attack strategy.

Let's now see how it actually works.

Deploy a Lava Hound and then, a Battle Blimp from one of the suitable corners of the base such that it can move to the center of the base.

The Lava hound is deployed first so that it can take damage from the defenses as well as seeking air mines and help the Battle Blimp survive and move safely to the center.

As the Battle Blimp moves just above the center of the base, break it to release your CC (Clan Castle) troops (1 Electro Dragon and 1 Balloon).

As soon as the troops are released, drop both the Clone spells on them.

Then, drop a Rage spell on the cloned troops immediately.

You need to try to make sure that the Balloons are cloned. But, if the Electro Dragons are cloned instead, they can still destroy the center of the base.

Once the cloned troops destroy the center of the base, you need to deploy the Barbarian King and Archer Queen from a suitable side for creating a funnel.

Near them, deploy a Balloon followed by a Baby Dragon for funneling.

Then, deploy a Super Wall Breaker so that it can break the walls and create a path for the Heroes to enter the base.

You need to try to take down one Inferno Tower using the heroes, particularly the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen.

Once one Inferno Tower is destroyed by the King and the Queen, deploy one Lava Hound from one side of the base (the side should contain an Air Defense) and 8 Balloons, followed by 2 or 3 minions.

Behind the Balloons, deploy the Grand Warden.

Near the point from where you had deployed the Lava Hound with the Balloons, deploy another Lava Hound followed by 8 Balloons and 2 or 3 minions.

When the air troops come near an Inferno Tower, drop a Freeze spell on it and in the meantime, let the Balloons destroy the tower.

Use the Haste spells to speed up the Balloons when required.

When the Balloons are being attacked by numerous defenses at once (and especially the Inferno Tower), activate the Grand Warden's ability.

Deploy more Balloons from the other side when the other Air defense is already attacking the Lava Hound.

Once 90% of the defenses of the base are destroyed, deploy the leftover troops to clean the rest of the base.

Gradually, the entire base will be destroyed, giving you a 3-star.

Thus, the Electrone Lalo attack strategy contains three parts:

  • Destroying the center of the base using the Battle Blimp and the cloning strategy.
  • Destroying an Inferno Tower using the Heroes (Barbarian King and Archer Queen).
  • Doing a Lava Loon attack on the rest of the base.

If you find a base that is compact on one side and quite open on the other side, use the Battle Blimp and cloning strategy to destroy the compact side of the base.

And for the Open side of the base, use the Lava Loon attack with the rest of the troops.

The Electrone Lalo attack strategy is a simple yet very powerful attack strategy. You can use it to destroy numerous TH11 bases quite easily.

5. The Mass Hog Attack Strategy

the_mass_hog_attack_strategy_army_composition_part1

the_mass_hog_attack_strategy_army_composition_part2

This attack strategy is most effective against bases where the Eagle Artillery and the Archer Queen are located very close to each other such that Lightning spells and an Earthquake spell on any one of them can destroy both of them.

To use this strategy, you require the following army:

  • 4 Archers
  • 4 Wizards
  • 2 Minions
  • 35 Hog Riders
  • 1 Miner
  • 2 Super Wall Breakers
  • 3 Sneaky Goblins
  • 2 Ice Golems
  • 7 Hog Riders in the Clan Castle
  • 7 Lightning spells
  • 1 Heal spell
  • 1 Poison spell
  • 1 Earthquake spell
  • 1 Heal Spell in the Clan Castle
  • Siege Barracks (as a donation in the Clan Castle)
  • Barbarian King
  • Archer Queen
  • Grand Warden

Now, let's see how this attack strategy works.

Firstly, you need to destroy the Eagle Artillery and the Archer Queen which are located close to each other, using 7 Lightning spells and 1 Earthquake spell.

Next, you need to destroy one Inferno Tower using the Barbarian King and the Archer Queen.

From one suitable corner of the base (from where an inferno tower is near), deploy the Barbarian King and an Ice Golem.

Deploy a Super Wall Breaker near them to break walls for funneling.

Once the wall is destroyed, deploy the Archer Queen and another Ice golem near the Barbarian King.

Deploy the Siege Barracks behind them to make use of the PEKKA and wizards deployed by it.

Let them destroy one Inferno Tower.

Quick Tip: Once your Ice golems are taken down, they will provide a freeze effect that will freeze the nearby defenses. Making use of this freeze effect, the Heroes can destroy the Inferno Tower and other nearby defenses.

Once the opponent's CC (Clan Castle) troops come out, drop a Poison spell on them.

If required, activate the Barbarian King's and the Archer Queen's abilities.

Once the opponent's CC troops and one Inferno tower are destroyed, break the Siege Barracks to release the Hog riders.

The direction in which the released Hog riders move, deploy the majority of your Hog riders in that same direction.

Behind them, deploy the Grand Warden.

As the deployed Hog riders keep destroying numerous defenses, deploy some Wizards to destroy the rest of the buildings.

Also, keep deploying more Hog Riders from the side as the deployed Hog riders move forward, destroying more defenses.

Drop the Heal spells on the Hog Riders when required.

Use the Grand Warden's ability when required. You might need the ability when the Hog Riders are taking down the Inferno Towers.

Once 90% of the defenses are destroyed, deploy the leftover troops to destroy the rest of the buildings.

Gradually, the entire base gets destroyed providing you with a 3-star.

That's the Mass Hog attack strategy!

It basically consists of three parts:

  • Destroying the Eagle Artillery and the Archer Queen using the Lightning and an Earthquake spell. If the Eagle Artillery is only destroyed using the spells, you need to find a way to somehow destroy the Archer Queen.
  • Destroying the opponent's CC troops and one Inferno Tower using the Barbarian King, Archer Queen with the help of other troops such as Ice Golems, PEKKA, and Wizards (supplied by the Siege Barracks).
  • Using Hog Riders for destroying the rest of the defenses followed by the Grand Warden. Once the defenses are destroyed, use the leftover troops to clean the rest of the buildings.

The Mass Hog attack strategy is quite powerful and rewarding.
